Look after several sites
Ask your assistant how all your sites are doing in one answer, then dig into the one that needs attention.
You run more than one site, such as a bakery blog, an online shop and a site for a second shop. Checking each one by hand takes time. MeasureScale lets your assistant summarise up to 25 sites in one answer and compare each with the period before.
Questions to ask
See everything at once
- “Which sites can you see in my account?”
- “How are all my sites doing in Google this month compared with last month?”
- “Which of my sites lost the most clicks in the last 4 weeks?”
- “What were the combined clicks across all my sites last month?”
Focus on one site
- “My shop site dropped. Which of its pages lost the most traffic?”
- “Is my new blog linked to its Google Analytics property?”
- “Show me visits and key events for my second shop last month.”
A good conversation
Here is an example of how a conversation can go.
- You ask: “Which sites can you see?” The assistant lists your Search Console sites and Google Analytics properties. It also says which ones are linked together.
- You ask: “How did all of them do last month?” The assistant gives one row per site, with clicks, views in Google and average position, compared with the month before. It adds visits from Google Analytics where a property is linked.
- You ask: “Why did the shop drop?” The assistant moves to that one site and lists the pages that lost the most clicks.
Reading the answer
- Every site in the summary uses the same dates. You cannot give each site its own range in one summary.
- The combined totals add up all the sites. A site with no data adds nothing. It does not count as zero.
- A percent change is blank when the earlier period had nothing to compare with.
- If a site has no linked Google Analytics property, the answer says so. It includes a link to the page where you link one.
- Search Console counts days in Pacific time. Google Analytics uses each property’s own time zone.
Tips
- Name your sites the way the assistant lists them, or ask it to list them first.
- The summary takes a list of sites. It cannot pick sites by a label or tag.
- Start wide, then narrow down. Ask about all sites first, then about the one that stands out.
- You can only see sites that the Google accounts you connected can access.
