Your assistant can't find MeasureScale or a tool

What to check when your assistant cannot see MeasureScale, sees fewer tools than you expect, or says a tool does not exist.

After you add MeasureScale, your assistant should be able to use it. Use this page when your assistant says it cannot find MeasureScale or one of its tools.

Your assistant cannot find MeasureScale at all

Check these in order:

  1. The address. It must be exactly https://mcp.measurescale.com/mcp, including /mcp at the end.
  2. The approval. Your assistant must open the Authorize an AI app page, and you must choose Approve. If the page did not open, remove MeasureScale from your assistant and add it again.
  3. Your email. You must confirm your email before you can approve. Open the sign-in link from your inbox.
  4. The on and off switch. Some assistants let you turn each connector on or off. Make sure MeasureScale is on for the current chat.
  5. Your assistant’s version. Update your assistant app if it is old. Very old versions cannot connect.

Your assistant cannot do something you expect

MeasureScale gives your assistant every tool with each approval. Your assistant can still limit what it shows:

  • Some assistants show only a set number of tools from each connector.
  • Some assistants remember the tool list for a while. Start a new chat or reconnect to refresh it.

Your assistant says it needs permission to make changes

A few tools save notes and groups inside MeasureScale. They need your permission to make changes. Your assistant can see them even when you approved read-only access. To use them, approve the assistant again and allow changes. See read and write tools.

Your assistant finds MeasureScale but not your site

This is a Google connection problem, not a tool problem. See you don’t see your website and your assistant asks you to reconnect Google.
