Your assistant says you've reached a limit
What to do when your assistant says the daily allowance is used up, there are too many requests, or a Google quota is reached.
MeasureScale has three limits that pause your questions for a while. Your assistant usually tells you which one you reached. Each one has its own wait time.
| What your assistant says | What it means | When you can ask again |
|---|---|---|
| The daily plan allowance is used up | You used all of today’s allowance | After the next reset at midnight UTC |
| Too many requests | Your assistant asked for data too fast | After the wait your assistant reports |
| A Google API quota is exhausted | Google limits how much one site’s data can be read | After the wait your assistant reports |
None of these use your allowance. Failed requests are free.
This page also covers URL inspections, dates that are too far back and requests that take too long.
The daily allowance is used up
Your plan’s allowance resets every day at midnight UTC. Midnight UTC is the same moment everywhere. It may not be midnight where you are.
To make your allowance go further:
- Ask about one site and one date range at a time.
- Avoid repeating heavy analyses. Cannibalization checks, the decay matrix and forecasts each use 3 units.
- Ask your assistant “How much MeasureScale usage do I have left today?”. Checking is free.
You can also open Usage in the portal. It shows Remaining today.
For a higher daily allowance, change your plan. See usage, allowances and plans.
Too many requests
MeasureScale limits how fast you can ask for data. The limits apply to your whole account. They are separate from your daily allowance.
| Time | Requests allowed |
|---|---|
| Any one minute | 60 |
| Any one hour | 1,000 |
Each request counts as 1, however heavy it is. An assistant that runs many steps in a row can reach the per-minute limit.
- Wait for the time your assistant reports.
- Ask your assistant to continue.
- If it happens often, ask your assistant to make fewer requests in a row.
A Google quota is reached
Google limits how much data can be read for each site. MeasureScale tracks these Google limits. It stops before a request would go over one. This keeps your site in good standing with Google. One busy user can never get your site blocked at Google. Some Google Analytics limits reset every hour.
Other tools you use on the same site share these Google limits. A busy site can reach them sooner.
- Wait for the time your assistant reports.
- Ask a narrower question, such as a shorter date range or one site.
- Ask the question again.
URL inspections run out for the day
Google allows a set number of URL inspections for each site each day. This limit is separate from the others on this page. Ask your assistant “How many URL inspections has MeasureScale used today?”. Google counts inspections from every tool you use on the site. The real number can be higher than MeasureScale shows.
The dates are too far back
Search Console data goes back about 16 months. GA4 data goes back about 14 months. Ask about a date range inside that period. See data windows and freshness.
The request took too long
A request stops after 60 seconds. Your assistant then says “The tool took too long. Try a smaller date range”. Ask about a shorter date range or one site.
