Your assistant asks you to reconnect Google
What to do when your assistant asks you to reconnect Google, or says MeasureScale cannot use one of your sites.
Your assistant asks you to reconnect Google when MeasureScale cannot reach your Google data. It usually gives you a link to Connections in the portal.
Fix it
- Open the link your assistant gave you. Or open Connections in the portal.
- Find the account marked Reconnect needed.
- Choose Connect Google.
- Sign in with that same Google account.
- Allow read-only access to Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Ask your assistant the question again.
Why it happens
The message tells you which case applies.

Google stops accepting the connection in these cases:
- You removed MeasureScale’s access in your Google account settings.
- You changed your Google password.
- A Google security check ended the session.
- An administrator of your Google Workspace removed the access.
Your assistant says it cannot use a site
Sometimes your assistant says MeasureScale cannot use the site you asked about. Check these causes in order:
- The site is not in your account. Open Properties and choose Refresh from Google. If it is still missing, connect the Google account that can see it. See you don’t see your website.
- Google removed your access. Ask the site’s owner in Search Console or GA4 to add your Google account again.
- An API key limits the sites. A key created with a list of sites works only for those sites. Create a new key or use the right one.
Still not working
Ask your assistant “Which properties can you see in MeasureScale?”. It lists the sites MeasureScale can see. If the list is empty after a reconnect, check which Google account you chose on Google’s screen.
