What every answer includes
What MeasureScale sends with every answer, and how to read freshness, settled days and results that are approximate or incomplete.
Every MeasureScale answer comes with notes about the data behind it. Your assistant uses these notes to tell you where the numbers came from and how far to trust them.
Where the numbers came from
Each answer names its source. The source is Search Console, Google Analytics 4 or both combined.
Each answer also says whether it came live from Google or from the cache. Cached answers are short-lived. See caching.
Which dates it covers
Each answer states the date range it used and the time zone of its days. Search Console days are Pacific time. GA4 days use the property’s own time zone.
When you give no dates, MeasureScale uses the last 28 settled days. See data windows and freshness.
Settled days and fresh data
A settled day is a day whose data Google has finished processing. Each answer names the last settled day.
You can ask about days after the last settled day. The answer then says it includes fresh data. Fresh numbers can still change as Google processes them.
When results are approximate or incomplete
Some notes warn you how to read the numbers. Your assistant should pass them on. Ask it if you are not sure.
| The answer says | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| It includes fresh data | Some days are not final yet. The numbers can still change |
| A row limit was reached | Google returned only part of the rows. Some rare searches or pages may be missing |
| The rows do not add up | Do not add the rows to get a total. For example, one visitor can appear in several rows |
| No ecommerce data | The GA4 property recorded no purchases or revenue in the range |
| Some funnel steps are missing | GA4 did not return every step, so there is no overall completion rate |
| The page is blocked by robots.txt | The site blocks the page, so MeasureScale did not fetch it |
| Every indexed count is zero | The sitemaps list submitted pages, but Google reported none of them as indexed |
| Part of the report is not available yet | MeasureScale does not compute that part yet |
| A setup step is missing | A connection the question needs is not set up. The answer says what to do next |
Analyses add their own notes, such as whether there was enough data for a result. Each methodology page explains these.
Long lists
A long list comes in pages. Your assistant fetches the next page when it needs more. Each list has a maximum size, 1,000 rows by default.
Percentages
A percentage is always stated from 0 to 100. It is never a fraction, so 5% is never shown as 0.05.
When something goes wrong
A request that fails returns a message instead of data. Your assistant reads it and tells you what to do. Failed requests do not use your allowance. See your assistant says you’ve reached a limit and your assistant asks you to reconnect Google.
