# Signing in

> MeasureScale has no passwords. Sign in with Google or with a link sent to your email.

MeasureScale accounts have no password. You sign in with Google or with a one-time link sent to your email.

## Sign in or create an account

1. Go to [app.measurescale.com/login](https://app.measurescale.com/login).
2. Choose **Continue with Google**, or enter your email and choose **Email me a sign-in link**.
3. If you chose email, open the message and select the link.

Sign-up and sign-in use the same steps. If no account exists for your email, MeasureScale creates one. The first time you use an email link, it also verifies your address.

## Use Google with an email account

You can sign in with Google on an account you created by email. MeasureScale links the Google sign-in to the existing account. Each MeasureScale account can link one Google sign-in. A different Google account cannot replace it.

Your Google sign-in and your [Google data connection](/getting-started/connect-google/) are separate. Signing in with Google does not give MeasureScale access to Search Console or GA4.

## Verify your email

You must verify your email address before you can:

- Approve an AI app on the authorization page.
- Connect a Google account for data.
- Create an API key.

Opening an email sign-in link verifies your address.

## Limits

MeasureScale limits sign-up requests to 60 for each IP address in each hour. If you see a rate-limit message, wait and try again later.
